What is Layers?

Layers is a one-of-a-kind therapeutic movement practice, designed to elevate its participants with an individualized sense of greater wellbeing. Created by Michelle Olson, Layers is based on a combination of traditions and techniques including yoga asanas/postures, breathing exercises, meditation, and guided dance-like movements. Each session empowers students to explore new levels of mind-body connections, and to cultivate a deeper awareness of one's own unique path.

No two sessions are ever the same

The Layers method is a yoga-like, instructor led, hour-long practice. Appropriate for everyone at any age or phase of life, Layers offers a multitude of live-stream classes, outdoor events, and private sessions that will leave you feeling more connected to your body, mind, spirit.

Michelle Olson

Creator / Founder

Michelle is the creator of the Layers body/mind/spirit method of movement. She is an authentic vibrant soul, a seeker of spiritual healing connections, and an accomplished yoga instructor who has been building a loyal following since 2008. Michelle’s career in movement began in modern dance in New York City. She is a Reiki practitioner and is experienced in various traditions of yoga (Kundalini, Vinyasa, Hatha),, therapeutic dance, mindfulness meditation, and is a perpetual student of integrative healing arts.
